Jewellery shop owner shot dead in broad daylight in amleshwar, accused identified

Durg. Two gunmen shot dead a jewelery shop owner in broad daylight at Amleshwar of Durg district.
The shopkeeper was gunned down at his store around one o'clock on Thursday. The assailants are said to have walked away after committing the crime with jewelery worth lakhs of rupees. The police said the criminals pumped several bullets into shopkeepers head and chest from a close range. He was rushed to the state-run Ambedkar Hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
The victim has been identified as Surendra Kumar Soni (52 years) resident of Good Island Colony. The live video of this entire incident has also surfaced. Panic spread in the area as local shopkeepers downed their shutters soon after the killing.
The police swung into action to apprehend the culprits. SP Abhishek Pallav himself is leading the investigation and directed to blockade the boundaries of Raipur and Durg to nab the accused. Meanwhile, The police team identified both the accused on the basis of CCTV footage. The faces of the accused are clearly visible in the CCTV footage.
Abhishek Pallav, SP said, "A case has been registered in the matter and a police team has been sent to arrest the accused."

Police are investigating the case on multiple aspects such as reletives or family involvement could be possible as team found that criminal stayed at Aarang for five days before the incident and Victim himself hailed from Aarang. the common town link has emerged during investigation. On Thursday afternoon, at around one o'clock, The criminals came to the jewelery shop named Samridhi Jewelers as normal customers. The Shopkeeper Surendra Soni, was alone at that time. The youths asked him to show some gold ornaments. The owner kept showing the jewellery. AS he bent down to take something from the rack one of the two youths grabbed his head and hit him hard on the counter. Then both the youths took out the pistol and started firing at Surendra Soni. Both of them fired five-six rounds continuously on his head, chest and face. When he fell on his chair, one of the gunmen kicked him hard on the chest and knocked him down. After this barbarous incident both of them gathered and took all the jewelery kept in the shop and left.
It can be clearly seen from the CCTV footage installed inside the shop that one of the criminals hand is amputated and he is firing with his left hand. After the incident, he goes out with jewelry, cash in a bag like a laptop bag. With the audacity with which the robbers have carried out this robbery in broad daylight, it seems that both of them are outsiders. Both have not made much effort to hide their identities.
