Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel writes to ED for a fair investigation on NAN-Chit fund case
Raipur. The genie of the Nagrik Apurti Nigam scam (NAN scam) in Chhattisgarh has come out again. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has written a letter to the Enforcement Directorate-ED raising the demand for a fair investigation about the NAN-chit fund scam and the involvement of BJP leaders in it. The Chief Minister says, scam that took place between 2004 and 2015, at the behest of the then Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh, the ACB officials saved the accused. The matter of giving money to CM Sir and CM Madam is mentioned In the documents recovered from accused, but it was not even included in the charge sheet.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said, if the Enforcement Directorate-ED does not start investigation even after 15 days of this letter, then a petition will be filed in the court.
Bhupesh Baghel told the media on Tuesday, "Prime Minister said that any political party should have a fair investigation. I have written a letter to the ED for a fair investigation on ongoing case of NAN-chit fund scam.
Baghel alleged that ""the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was biased and was not acting on his complaint about the chit fund scam and the involvement of BJP leaders in it. While BJP leaders were engaged in defaming the state government, they themselves indulged in many scams including the Rs 6,500 crore chit fund scam.'' He added.
Terming his predecessor Raman Singh 'Bhrashtachar Ka Pitamah' (patron of corruption), Baghel charged that he and his son Abhishek were involved in corruption.
"Why the ED is not taking action against them though I have filed written complaints against them," he asked.
