Relief to train and air travellers, RT-PCR test no longer mandatory for passengers who have taken both Covid vaccine doses

There is good news for passengers arriving in Chhattisgarh from other states on trains and flights as they no longer have to show Covid negative reports on arrival. The passengers having taken both shots of Covid vaccines also wouldn't be requiring mandatory RT-PCR Test

Air travellers that got both shots of Covid vaccines will not be required to go through RT-PCR. An order in this regard was issued by State's General Administration Department (GAD) Secretary Dr Kamalpreet Singh on late Monday evening. State Government made slight amendments to the Covid protocol.

The order reads that such persons, who have completed both doses of Covid-19 vaccines will be exempted from mandatory RT-PCR tests. Earlier, the passengers were required to submit an RT-PCR test certifying the passenger Covid-19 negative since 96-hour prior to arrival.

Passengers will have to comply with the rules and protocols of the Civil Aviation Ministry's Covid rules and protocol. Passengers coming to Chhattisgarh from other states through railways have to follow the Covid rules of the Railway Ministry.
