Subodh Singh goes to centre; Sonmoni Borah posted as labour secretary

Raipur: Chhattisgarh government has relieved public health engineering and labour secretary Subodh Singh for central deputation. He is joining the centre as Joint Secretary Food and Civil Supplies .

The state government has already gave NOC to Subodh Singh for central deputation. The Government of India on January 20 issued orders for the posting of Subodh Singh. This is first central deputation of Subodh Singh and his appointment will be for a term of five years.
Subodh Singh has held various positions in the past including district collector of Raigarh, Raipur and Bilaspur, Markfed managing director, secretary to chief minister. He was also the Commissioner of the Housing Board for over a year.

Replacing Singh, Secretary of parliamentary affairs and secretary to Governor Sonmoni Borah has been given an additional charge of labour department and labour commissioner. While water resources secretary Avinash Champawat, having an additional charge of religious trusts and endowments department, has been given an additional charge of public health engineering department.

Besides, secretary of state election commission Remizius Ekka has been given an additional charge of urban administration department joint secretary.
