ED Raid in Chhattisgarh : ED raids premises of politicians, businessmen & senior officials in Chhattisgarh, including IAS and former MLA
Politics are anticipated to once again boil up as a result of the ED's searches in Chhattisgarh.
Raipur: The ED (Enforcement Directorate) team in Chhattisgarh has conducted raids at the homes of a number of businessmen, including an IAS, a politician, and a former Congress MLA. At 6 am, the ED team arrived at the premises of the officers, leaders, and businesses in Raipur and Bhilai.
In connection with its continuing money laundering investigation into an alleged coal levy fraud in the state, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at numerous places in Chhattisgarh and some other states on Friday, according to sources.
Premises linked to IAS officer and secretary in the state government Anbalagan P are also being covered, officials said.
Currently, Anbalagan serves as the department of water resources and culture's secretary. He served as the secretary for minerals.
When the ED team first arrived, they were not in the bungalow at the Devendra Nagar residence. The second team had arrived at his Bhilai home. The team here also travelled to Bhilai as a result of the news of his presence there.
The ED team reached for the second time in Officer Colony located in Devendra Nagar, Raipur. The federal agency had launched a probe in this case in October last year after it raided another IAS officer of the state, Sameer Vishnoi, and some businessmen. Vishnoi, is now behind bars.
The ED has also raided the houses of former Congress MLA and chairman of Seed Corporation Agni Chandrakar, Vipul Patel, resident of Aishwarya Kingdom, Swatantra Jain, resident of Ashoka Tower. Agni Chandrakar is the father-in-law of previously arrested Suryakant Tiwari.
Politics are anticipated to once again boil up as a result of the ED's (Enforcement Directorate) searches in Chhattisgarh. Bhupesh Baghel, the chief minister, has criticised the BJP over the ED and ITD searches.
He claimed that the BJP's only weapon is the central agency. They are making use of the central agency since they are unable to fight here. The BJP's mission is to topple governments. He claimed that the BJP cannot compete in Chhattisgarh. The office holders are frequently replaced. Because of this, government entities are being utilised as weapons. CM Baghel made these remarks prior to departing for Korba while speaking with journalists on the helipad.
The CM recalled having previously stated that the ED team would stay until the elections. This appears to be taking place. This is what seems to be happening. Wherever elections are held, there are ED raids. BJP is attempting to malign the administration here. They are making an effort to intimidate the cops and staff due to their political agenda, Bghel added.
On corruption in Smart City, the CM said, why is there no investigation of corruption during BJP's tenure? The central team should investigate the corruption in the Raman government. BJP leaders should complain about him. What a big scam in chit fund. Why doesn't ED investigate chit fund scams?
