'Run for CG Pride'; Chhattisgarh to run for self-respect and pride : Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel to flag off 'Run for CG Pride' at Gandhi Udyan tomorrow

'Chhattisgarhiyas' (people of Chhattisgarh state) will run for pride and self-respect in the "Run for CG Pride" marathon (Daud Swabhimaan Aur Garv Ki) to be organized on December 14 to mark the completion of three years of Bhupesh Baghel led state government in Chhattisgarh.

The Chhattisgarh government led by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will be completing its three years tenure on December 17. With the effective implementation of its welfare schemes and the launch of multiple new initiatives towards economic prosperity, the state government has introduced a new "Chhattisgarh Model" in front of the country and the world. This has resulted in improved self-esteem of people which in turn adds to the state's pride.

The marathon will be flagged off by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel at 6.30 am from Gandhi Udyan in Raipur. The marathon will pass through two different routes and return to its starting point i.e. Bhagat Singh Chowk. The marathon has two main categories including Mens and Womens category for people of age group 14 to 60 years and the senior citizens and children category for people above 60 years of age and children below 14 years of age. A 5-kilometer race will be held in the Mens and Womens category. Checkpoints for this category include Jaistambh Chowk, Kotwali Chowk, P.W.D. Chowk (Mazar Chowk), Income Tax Colony Tiraha, and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk. A cash prize of Rs 21 thousand will be given to the winner of this category while Rs 15 thousand and Rs 11 thousand to the participants finishing in second and third place respectively. Cash prizes of Rs 2100 will be given to those finishing at fourth to tenth position.

Besides, checkpoints set up for senior citizens and children category includes Collectorate Chowk, CG. RRDA, Income Tax Colony Tiraha, and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk. A cash prize of Rs 11 thousand will be given to the winner in this category while Rs seven thousand to the runner up and Rs five thousand to participant finishing at third position.

Meanwhile, photography, slogan writing, and reels competitions are also being organized.
