Arvind Kejriwal Excise Policy Case: दिल्ली की एक कोर्ट ने गुरुवार को पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल को शराब घोटाले के मामले में प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ED) की ओर से दायर 2 मामलों में बरी कर दिया है। केजरीवाल के खिलाफ मामले में केंद्रीय एजेंसी के समन का उल्लंघन करने के लिए कार्रवाई की मांग की गई थी। राउज एवेन्यू कोर्ट के अतिरिक्त मुख्य न्यायिक मजिस्ट्रेट (ACJM) पारस दलाल ने यह आदेश पारित किया है।

क्या है समन उल्लंघन का मामला?

दिल्ली में आम आदमी पार्टी (AAP) की सरकार में बनी नई शराबी नीति के मामले में ED ने फरवरी 2024 में केजरीवाल के खिलाफ धनशोधन निवारण अधिनियम (PMLA) की धारा 50 के तहत समन जारी कर पूछताछ के लिए बुलाया था।

केजरीवाल ने अलग-अलग तारीखों पर जारी 5 समन को टाल दिया और पूछताछ में शामिल नहीं हुए, जिसके बाद एजेंसी कोर्ट पहुंची थी। इसी को लेकर कोर्ट में सुनवाई चल रही थी, जिसमें केजरीवाल बरी हो गए हैं।

क्या है शराब घोटाले का मामला?

दिल्ली के उपराज्यपाल वीके सक्सेना की शिकायत के आधार पर केंद्रीय जांच ब्यूरो (CBI) ने 20 जुलाई, 2022 को नई आबकारी नीति को लेकर मामला दर्ज किया था।

इसके बाद ED ने 22 अगस्त, 2022 को आरोपियों के खिलाफ मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग का मामला दर्ज किया। मामले में केजरीवाल, तत्कालीन उपमुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया, सांसद संजय सिंह समेत कई लोग गिरफ्तार हुए।
