Yogesh Sahu, a Chhattisgarh lad from an impoverished family, will now be able to study at IIT Mumbai, all thanks to the generous gesture of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.

A resident of Balodabazaar Bhatapara, Yogesh Sahu has cleared JEE Advanced 2021 with All India Ranking (AIR) 241.

Sahu is going to IIT Mumbai. Since Yogesh Sahu's father Gayaram Sahu is a driver, his monthly income is a meagre Rs 12000 whereas the IIT Mumbai's fees is an astounding Rs 4.5 lakhs. His family is financially too weak to afford IIT Mumbai fees.

Yogesh had appealed to Chief Minister for financial assistance to pursue his study in one of the premier education institutes of the nation. Chief Minister had assured Yogesh of necessary assistance and it finally fructified as State Government has sanctioned Rs 4 lakh for his IIT study.

Yogesh Sahu also told the CM that in 2018-19, he had secured 98 per cent marks in the High School Examination and grabbed the second spot in the merit list. Chief Minister Baghel has extended congratulation to Yogesh Sahu for his remarkable success and again assured of all the assistance he would need for studying. CM also prayed for the bright future of Yogesh.
